Orchid House has a staggeringly well equipped Kitchen and Dining area, Laundry room, TWO luxurious Living Rooms with top quality furnishings, art and original art, beautifully designed gardens packed with exotic planting. At Orchid House we have two Living Rooms...
The Main Sitting Room (below) is 6m x 5m. This room has two facing 3m long sofas offering plenty of relaxation space. It is furnished with an exciting and eclectic mix of antiques and modern furniture.
A 42’’ flat screen LCD TV screen is in a specifically designed alcove and this plays music and DVDs with access to 16 Freeview channel. A folding silk screen can be drawn if you wish T.V to be out of sight!

Plenty of board games and books catering for all tastes.
The room is completed with a fabulous wood burning stove for spring and autumn nights.
The second Living Room is a sedate and luxurious reading and unwinding space with a mini library.
You can relax in the over sized curl- up chair, or on the 2 fuchsia pink sofas.This room has large sliding doors onto the back veranda.
The book library we provide vary from novels, classics, cookery, travel and coffee table books.
The kitchen enjoys a stunning, large, solid teak table, it gets used for everything - sitting with a friend enjoying a glass of wine, food preparation etc.. The kitchen has all the utensils you would expect and need to give excellent self catering. Our fridge is a large American fridge freezer, water, and ice dispenser.
There is a dishwasher, and a built in wine rack. 3 slot Dualit toaster, hob oven and 3 types of coffee pot. Assorted beakers and wine goblets.
Dried herbs from the garden hang on the kitchen racks. We provide thermal bags and ice blocks for when you want to go to the supermarket or on a picnic.
Off the kitchen is a separate laundry room for all your laundry needs - including washing machine.
Besides 2 on suite bathrooms we have a large centrally positioned main bathroom that features a very large bath with central taps, great for two people!!
A full step runs alongside the bath, comfortable for sitting on and bathing your children or if you have bad knees or back it makes getting in much easier!
There is a separate walk in shower.
The basins are "his" and "hers", situated in a large vanity unit with baskets for toiletries, hanging hooks for towels etc and a linen basket.

Bedroom 1, Master Suite:
This room has a view over the mountain, in the morning you can lie in bed and watch the sun rise across it. Throughout the day the mountain changes colour from blue to deep orange late in the afternoon. This is a beautifully romantically decorated room, a mix of treasures collected from foreign trips. Principally being a large wall hanging, glittering in the morning with gold thread from antique saris. The bed is a large antique style bed, with complementary chest of drawers, trinket mirror and chair. There are also 1 double wardrobe, 1 shoe shelf, set of 3 drawers a 5 shelf cupboard and linen basket.
Double doors open onto a balcony 6m x 5m providing total privacy for sunbathing- from here wide Travertine stairs go to terrace and pool. So you can simply fall out of bed and walk straight down into the pool, or go for a late night swim without having to go through the rest of the house.
The three terracotta pots grow cascading Jasmine over the balcony.
The en-suite has a walk in shower, w.c and vanity unit, with baskets for toiletries.
Bedroom 2:
This is a twin bedroom (picure BELOW), also looking onto the mountains.
This room is simply and elegantly dressed, making the most of bright and light.
The room has 2 large single solid wooden beds, a gorgeous antique bedding box, 1 double wardrobe, 1 shoe shelf, a set of 5 shelves in the wardrobes. There are double doors leading to balcony....
Bedroom 3 with en suite:
This room has a pair of solid wooden bunk beds (which can convert to twin beds upon request), 1 double wardrobe, and shoe shelf, set of 5 shelves, 3 drawers and 2 shelves.
There are double doors to a large balcony. The views to rear are the Mycenaean cemetery, olive and pine tree covered hills, and a really lovely Greek church.
A mural painting also adorns the walls. There is a dressing table and mirrors.
The en suite bathroom is all white, w.c, vanity unit, and walk-in shower, with basket for toiletries.
Bedroom 4:
All cream and cool, the room has a mosquito net draped over a double cream bed, a stunning over-sized gesso mirror and a selection of art work on the walls.
There is a dressing table with antique chair, a magnifying illuminated make-up mirror, double wardrobe, shoe shelf, with set of 3 drawers inside. Double doors with views.
There are 4m long sliding doors out into the gardens through a arched veranda. The terrace here can be used all year round and is lovely to sit under first thing in the morning for breakfast or for a relaxing sleep in the afternoon. It is lit with 2 feature wrought iron lights for evening elegance.
The terrace is a very large 17m by 23m, so ideal to spread out and relax. Sun beds provided.
The magnificent overflow pool measures 8m by 4m. It is lit until approx 2am, perfect for a late night swim. When the sun rises and is on the pool all day until sunset, the bamboo fencing once the sun moves, intentionally provides a strip of shadow, so you can swim in gentle shadow or in full sun.
The path ways are lit, and the garden has been imaginatively landscaped with a beautiful array of plants.
The side of the house near the BBQ area is the herb garden, rosemary, basil, sage and a Bay tree.
Back of the house:
There are large sliding doors to the back veranda where the 8 seater wooden dining table is situated. It is in the shade in the midday sun but is in the sun late afternoon until the sun sets.
Further down and under the olive trees is a curtained 4 seater swing seat that folds down to a double bed. You can sit on this swing and watch the sun set. The pathways are lit and there are under balcony lights.
